Our Chapters

As the founding chapter for ACE NextGen, Boston continues to focus on our core mission of helping AAPI entrepreneurs grow their businesses. In 2020, we partnered with organizations such as Asian Hustle Network, AT&T, and Eastern Bank to further connect the community and provide support during a difficult year. Whether bringing additional traffic to businesses, helping give a clear understanding of options for access to capital, or gaining tangible tools to scale their business in hard times, we focused on tangible tactics for business owners. In 2021, we’re excited to partner with local organizations to provide a platform with a reach of over 45,000 to AAPI entrepreneurs. Our theme for the year is Taking The Next Step. This year’s events will be focused on how to take your business up one notch further in 2021 and keep climbing amidst these trying times.

washington DC CHAPTER

In 2020, the DC Chapter held six events with an estimated total attendance of 200. Three of the events were in partnership with other AAPI membership organizations based in DC, such as Filppino Young Professionals of DC (FYP-DC), TAP-DC, and NAAAP DC. In collaboration with ACE NextGen National and National ACE, the DC Chapter supported an event featuring social media influencers in January 2020. In June, we took part in the virtual conference Re: Launching by contributing three speakers (Monica Kang, Brian Park, and Jonathan Chen). In partnership with National ACE and Lyft in the months of April and May, the DC Chapter donated a total of 216 Lyft codes (total of $5,400) to frontline workers, particularly restaurant-owners and their teams.

The DC Chapter is currently seeking volunteers to join the leadership team. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting AAPI entrepreneurs and businesses.

Introduced in 2018 by ACE NextGen Board member Youngro Lee, three of Houston’s founding members, Frances Luong, Roland Rasos and David Chen took a flight to ACE Nextgen’s Third Annual Conference in Boston. The conference was called Origins and it brought together like minded entrepreneurs from all over the country. Determined to build a similar community in Houston, the founding members brought back news of how tight knit the ACE Nextgen Group was and how it can really make an impact for Houston entrepreneurs.

In 2019, Frances, Roland and David along with two additional members Raymond Cui and Oh Peou, launched the 4th annual conference at the Asia Society Center of Houston. With the support of the other ACE NextGen Chapter leads, the conference was a great success and brought the Houston Chapter as a place where like minded entrepreneurs can lean on each other for growth and resources. The chapter culture is a welcoming one and is also known to be laid back. The founders believe the road of entrepreneurship shouldn’t be a lonely one and believe that we can achieve more when the community comes together as one.
