ACE NextGen is partnering with Verizon’s Pro Bono Program and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw & Pittman to provide small business resources for the millennial AAPI entrepreneurial community. This two-part effort will include a panel on 10/7 designed to introduce ACE NextGen members to some of the key COVID-19 labor & employment issues they should consider as they continue to build back operations. Then, on 10/14 Verizon & Pillsbury volunteer lawyers will meet with individual ACE NextGen members and small business owners to discuss specific COVID-19 employment legal questions that may be unique to their circumstances.

 

10/7, 1-2:30 PM EST – Presentation to ACE NextGen Members followed by Q&A
ACE NextGen participants will receive up-to-date information on employment issues presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, along with concrete ways that forward-looking employers are integrating into their business plans pandemic-related employment policies on topics such as vaccinations, workplace health, and remote work.

 

10/14, 1:30-2:30 PM EST – 1:1 Clinic with Volunteer Attorneys
ACE NextGen members will meet with Verizon clinic volunteers to review employment issues presented by the COVID-19 pandemic to their businesses and assist businesses with preparing their COVID-19 employment policies. Topics can include those presented during the earlier presentation but members and volunteers can also discuss other COVID-related employment issues.
